The Rowan Knitting Magazine No. 35 for Spring & Summer 2004 features over 40 designs with work from; Kaffe Fassett, Kim Hargreaves, Louisa Harding, Sarah Dallas, Sasha Kagan, Laura Long, Brandon Mably, Carol Meldrum, Sharon Peake, Martin Storey and Leah Sutton.
The magazine features Calmer , Cotton Tape, 4 Ply Cotton, Cotton Glace, Handknit DK Cotton, All Seasons Cotton and Summer Tweed.
Other features include a Master Class on crochet, a look at a New York yarn store, alternative colourways, a designer bag article and a 'What's New' piece.

The first story, "The Traveller", is an exciting collection of bold patterned garments with a hippy feel making great use of Summer Tweed, Cotton Glace and Handknit DK Cotton.
Photographed alongside a classic VW van, a long line 'Shaded Diamond' coat from Kaffe Fassett and a dramatic 'Tom Tom' cardigan from Louisa Harding sit next to the more restful 'Baluchistan Stripe' with plaited details from Sasha Kagan.
The second story, "Funny Girl", gives classic 40's and 50's styles an update by being knitted in bright shades of 4 Ply
Cotton and Cotton Glace.
There is a pretty camisole and a lace cardigan with fairisle trim from Sarah Dallas, a beaded short sleeved sweater, a leaf lace cardigan with contrast edgings, from Kim Hargreaves and a fairisle cardigan with eyelets from Louisa Harding.
Story number 3, "Ray of Light", has some very sexy garments knitted and crocheted in pale shades of All Seasons Cotton, Calmer, Summer Tweed and Cotton Tape. The patterns include a crochet dress, bolero with leather thong fastening and a mesh poncho. A must see!
Story 4, "Roman Holiday", is a collection of new designs for men and women with a retro 5O's feel. The garments feature in a series of 'holiday snaps' from Rome and include an off the shoulder sweater by Kim Hargreaves and a 'Badly Drawn' sweater by Brandon Mably.
